Subject: RE: millenial Farmer?

Lac qui Parle County Minnesota
I have personally met Zack a couple of times. He is very personal, and interesting to talk to. He moderated a forum at Farmfest this year. He had a meet and greet afterwards. We thought about standing in line but didn’t. An hour later he was still greeting people. What impressed me was that he gave everyone time. He posed for many pictures with young and old. He spent time chatting with everyone the whole time we were watching.
Both he and walkers have openly admitted that upgrades to their farms came about because of their YouTube channels. I think in both cases, wives do the editing. I enjoy their videos but they are on opposite side of the spectrum. MF uses their dealer a lot but that gos with the territory with all the technology involved. The Welkers are very self reliant and seem to be able to tackle any repair..
I used to watch a certain young kid from Iowa, but I find him very entitled and obnoxious and seems to be only interested in his underground theater. You can’t try to explain how tough it is to farm financially while at the same time build an addition that is way overkill. He’s lucky he has a brother who does all the mechanic work.
I think all the YouTube farmers with exception of onelonley farmer and beohm farms, eventually “sell” out to advertisers. I think a couple of years ago, they all got unververt grain carts to use. But I also understand that it takes time and money to produce videos. I feel more power to them and ifs basically just a side line to improve the farms bottom line.
