I'm going to purchase a vehicle that is about 1,200 miles from home. I'm willing to fly and drive it home but would entertain shipping it as well. Any suggestions?

I just had one shipped about that distance. I bought in phoenix Arizona. If I went and picked it up,they had to charge me sales tax but if i had it shipped, I didnt have to pay sales tax. shipping I believe was $1700. sales tax was much more than that. I took care of title transfers and registration which is a nightmare in its own right. Especially when dealing with local DMV that doesnt have a clue. BTW dealer arranged shipping for me
