What do you target for timing and active ingredients in each pass? Is it generic quilt on both/all passes?
We spray everything once, but missed the timing a little bit on one farm this year and starting to think about two passes to cover a wider window.
Hi Gman,
This year was a bit of anamoly as I had a bunch of stuff laying around left over from previous years. So first pass was a smorgasboard of products, Veltyma, Headline Amp, Trivapro, Prixor + Tilt, and some Quilt, and some Gensis Ag stuff. Second was gen Quilt across the board. The first one was early VT as that was our window to get across the ground between the forecasted rains. I did not get it all done and where I was held off for 5 days, there was an evident yield hit on the map. I haven't looked into exactly why that was but it appears to be there. Second was planned at three weeks but at 15 days, even the best top end products had broke with Southern Rust, so we ran hard on it then. Third was all gen quilt and not planned. But there was still some active rust at three weeks and tarspot had finally appeared so that was the catalyst for the third. In hindsight, one applicaton two weeks late would have been the ticket as the early VT application was peetering out and overwhelmed by the rust. But we didn't know that then.
Take care |
