FIRST trials show lots and lots of good corn. I realize that it's plot data but one doesn't get 250-280 FIRST region averages and expect the rest of the fields in the are to be 50 bu less. Even in S IL there are plenty of 200 bu corn fields.
I would say so IL had more corn 150 or below and not 200 bu field averages. 3 months of no rain really took the top end off the crop. I haven’t seen any lines at the elevators this year either. Almost no carry in the corn market locally says short crop as well.
