Jesse has it right. In big sell offs it is not unusual at all for Berk to advance. They have a huge position in Gov. Treasury notes, insurance proceeds and dividend income from their large portfolio. All that adds up to a very defensive stock. We've owned for over 25 years and have no plans to sell it.
