Pedee, Oregon | Oregon- All public meetings must offer a virtual attendance option, if possible. The platform to offer virtual attendance is open to the organization to chose.
Virtual participation is largely offered through Zoom or Teams. Virtual attendance can be offered through Zoom, Teams, or YouTube, or other streaming service.
Meeting recordings are legally required to be kept for 1 year, written minutes must be kept forever. Most are keeping those recordings on a Google Drive or other cloud service for public access. That is not a requirement. They only have to be provided if asked.
Executive session has its own rules around participation and privacy.
Anyone claiming virtual meetings open boards and districts/govt to legal action is doing shady things at meetings. | |
