Subject: Questions about your Local School Board Meetings

E. Kansas
From reading AgTalk for years, I know several posters are currently serving on their local school boards, or have served within the past several years. My questions are for all of them, as well as for anyone else on AgTalk familiar with their local school board.

1. Does your local school board currently broadcast all of their meetings via Zoom or other real-time platform? I'm not asking specifically if Zoom viewer commenting/feedback is allowed for the meeting, but if your wish, please specify about that too if it is allowed.

2. Does your local school board post any videos of their meetings for future viewing?

3. If your AgTalk profile doesn't specify the State you live in, could you please make that known in your response?

I am not a member of my local school board, and never have been. My local school board in Kansas began Zoom coverage of their meetings during Covid and then discontinued Zoom meeting coverage after a year or so. The Superintendent at the time said they were at risk of having legal issues by continuing the broadcasting of the meetings, and the board at the time voted to accept the then Superintendent's claim. There were no board meeting videos posted on my local school board sites, but only the written minutes of the meetings and the agendas for the upcoming meetings.

Thank you for your participation. I'm not looking to start any debates, but would just like to know if and how your local school board provides any video coverage of their meetings, whether in real-time or archived.
