Should burn somewhere close to 20 gallons per hour at full load. If you aren't at full load, get a big enough implement to load it. You will never attain optimum fuel efficiency running at partial load. Engine should be loaded to about 1700 for maximum efficiency. There is a little green hump above the tach display at the most efficient load point.
