Subject: RE: Help Buying a bridgeport mill

I have ran alot of knee mills in my life..................I prefer my box way, CAT40 tool holder SuperMax(Called Super Crap by us even though it isn't because it isn't a Bridgeport) to any with dove tail ways and R8 spindle. For Farm/Mechanic use the rigidity difference you can really notice. With that said most of the Tiawan machines with Meehanite castings are pretty decent machines so don't overlook them..............Its harder to find real Bridgeports without a ton of wear on them, they are out there, but harder to find. Which isn't a huge issue as long as you know where and what is worn.
