| Selling fees seem to be steep, if you're going to charge me for advertising and I early consign my animals put my name with the animals on the early consignment online. We've built a brand, we are proud of our cattle, we use top genetics to produce a good product. --They need to promote it.
I don't think it's right to have the guys behind the sorting doors acting as buyers as well. If you're sale help be sale help, if you have customers who have given you orders be a buyer. But don't be both it seems fishy.
Walk in the barn when they are selling, friendly staff, but you have buyers from other sale barns coming to buy to put animals on their sales.
Watched a different sales barn come in on a bred cow auction buy 2 pot loads of breds, and they just happened to be having a sale the following week.
On the other side I've watched Lanesboro buy cattle on their own Friday auction to resell on a special sale the following Monday, were they going dirt cheap YES, did Lanesboro Double their money after 3 days YES.
Just my two cents | |
