| It's always someone who is swindling someone else, and now they are getting their medicine.
My guess is the kids just want a big payday and have no interest in the farmland. Thinking about today and not the LT benefits.
My first advice is to use the 1-year lease as a bargaining tool and buy it directly...family skips the realtor/auctioneer commission, and he possibly gets a bit of a discount. However, it is easy to spend someone else's money.
