Dayton, IA | Have an empty compartment in the service truck. I would like to have access to 12 and 120 power from here. Currently only have fuel tank in the back and I just pop the hood and clamp the cables to the battery to pump fuel. Want to have some options to hook up 12v items and charge tool batteries in the box compartment. Do I put a deep cycle battery in the box with a small wire to truck battery for charging? I see there are lots of do options for disconnects or one way diodes, etc to not let the box battery discharge engine battery. What works well for a permanent power source in the service box that will charge when the truck is running and not discharge the truck battery. Maybe also a small battery tender that can be plugged in when sitting in the shed for extended time?
