My biggest concern going to 30s is that there always seems to be the last 15-20% of my acres that end up being too wet to plant before May 20. I was afraid I'd give up yield on the later planting date. I'm also not sure how well 30s would do on the drier rolling hills that can be planted mid to late April.

Rainfall has a lot more to do with it than planting date.
I planted a farm 6/12 at 140k pop. My April-May beans I drop 120k and probably could go lower. It only made 30bpa this year because it was a 3.8 bean and it didn't rain in August or September
I planted my double crop beans 7/6 at 180k and they went 29bpa. Caught a rain finally and it really helped seed size.
I planted a 3.5 bean on 6/10 at a different farm and it went mid 50's. That farm caught a rain and the shorter maturity helped. I shortened all my bean maturities for 2026. Now it will rain in August and September...
