coast of Maine
Maybe 20 plus years ago I started taking 15 minute power naps at lunch. My crews were all on 30 minute lunch breaks so it gave a choke it down and nap break.A couple years back I made mandatory 1 hour breaks for lunch for the crews. Most guys approach 80 hours week so it gave them time for calls/bank/and naps.I think it has made my crews safer and stronger post lunchtime.Im up at 3 AM-4 AM every day,,time change sucks asI use no alarm. In the busy 1/2 I am at work before 6 and done at 6 pm.Mentally limiting to 7 -12 hour days,,thats 2 weeks of work for the average American(about 3 weeks for a Frenchman)so with that caveat ,,taking a nap at noon is still going to happen,,most days.Safer in all aspects.Feeling strong in the afternoon is nice.
