Missouri | this is a response i promised tbritten about buying a hose cleaning projectile launcher the business name is newline hose and fitting surrey bc 604-455-5400-800-661-2208
the complete gun is ct-ce--x1
just the head is ct-x1-1
the most us full nozzle's are
ct-jo6
ct-j10
ct-j13t13
ct-j19t19
ct-j32t25
the projectiles (foam plugs) i would recommend are
ct 07
ct 12 or14
ct 1
ct22
ct 32
these components inter change with most major manufactures
the industry recommendation is the projectile should be 20 percent bigger than the hose size for bare hose and 10 to 15 percent for when the ends are installed ,that's to much for most people to remember or keep strait much less stock so the above list is what we always used . we use a very small amount of wd40 on the projectile to make the bigger ones work for both bare and fitting installed hose . some manufactures say you should use dry what information i can find all agree wetted cleans better
industry standard is 1 projectile from each end of hose before assembling ends 1 projectile after assembled with a 3 second air blow after each projectile has cleared the hose (always shoot the the projectile through a 90 and out the strait if a 90 is installed )
the completed gun is made using a pressure washer handle to control the air wile this works it makes it heavy the plastic nozzle's no matter the manufacture are about as durable as a long stemmed wine glass the heavy gun makes them break much easer when it is dropped on the concrete floor we buy the ct-x1-i head and modified a gurdair 80wj g103775 gun purchased from zoro tool if you get a picture of a g8217544 on zoro it is a clear picture of the nozzle cut it off abut 5/16 to 3/8 of an inch from the flat face where the o ring is , support it where you cut it off on something that will allow a 7/16 cylinder to pass through with a square edged punch 3/8 or slightly bigger drive the flared portion out you will have a perfect 7/16 hole to thread to 1/4 npt . put a foam plug or a rag in the gun grease the the cut off nozzle piece screw it in the gun and thread being carful to keep strait when you are done disassemble the gun blow out any debris grease both the nozzle end and the cap end to aid in disassembly if it ever becomes necessary . wrap Teflon tape around a short but not fully threaded ( not close ) nipple have the tape up onto the unthreaded portion screw the nipple in to the nozzle and fill the cavity with jb weld to reinforce the outside shell so it is easer to use a vice grip or channel lock to tighten and or loosen it
the Teflon tape will make where you can change the nipple later (not have glued the nipple in place) when its done screw the ct-x1-1 head on it you will have a nice light durable and compact projectile gun
i will try to make another post with more tips and another gun choice for the head
