Shreve, Ohio | We had this happen a few times over the years. In our area, it does sell better without a lease. How we handled it was to have them buy us out for the same amount we were paying them per year. If we were paying $250 an acre, that is the amount they owed us for each acre and years left on the lease. If fertilizer was already applied in the fall, that was added to the lease rate.
