| My house is 100 plus years and was sitting on the original foundation. Every year was re point here and there for years. then one winter it all went south. Was going to do the jack up and replace in sections. talked to mason and he convinced me to have it lifted, moved off to the field and build an ICF basement. I asked about the prefab concrete basements, block and conventual poured basement. ICF was the fastest, cheapest and in helping him probably the easiest.
We had NO issues with windows, doors, drywall or plaster during or after the process. I believe it is all in the ability of the mover and how level and plumb you are starting with. My house prior was level and square so we were not changing how the house sat after the process.
i looked at other options, new build stick, moduler homes etc. The ICF was the most economical and we were out and back in in under 50 days.
i would do it again under the circumstances.
One item that I really liked during this was I installed in floor heat in the basement.
best of luck in your decision.
