| Hey everyone. I am a software engineer at Verdova and was the primary engineer that put this report together. Just wanted to offer some additional context on the data and ask for some advice.
This is the first report we have done with market share. I wanted to include smaller brands that we don't normally include because I thought it would be helpful for our growers that grow those brands to have some larger scale comparison data (than field trials). While each of these smaller brands had >5,000 acres in the report, it is much easier for data to be skewed up or down a few bushel compared to a larger brand with 10-20x as many acres, so I included market share to give some additional context (e.g. NK has a higher average yield than Pioneer beans, but also ~30x less acres).
We will be releasing at least one more harvest report this year and hope we can find some interesting information/correlations in the data, mainly relating to heat and precipitation during certain crop stages.
Similar to how we added in market share to this report, what data points would you like to see added on the next report (can be related to soil, weather, and region too)? We are interested in adding other useful information to future reports.
Thanks
