Ah yes, the ol trickle down business.
It is attractive, and at certain levels is effective. An employee of the Winnebago company would certainly benefit from my purchase. However the discussion is centered around the folks getting SNAP benefits, probably not the case with the Winnebago worker.
By the time the money trickles down to the Walmart night shift worker supporting two kids my Winnebago purchase probably doesn’t help much, if any.
Then take it to the upper income folks who already have a nice Winnebago, they don’t need another so the big tax break they get goes into the stock market, inflating it. Or, the corporation getting a tax cut uses the money to do a stock by back, inflating their stock value and the CEO gets nice raise because “look what our stock has done”.
Got more news for ya. The upper income folks don't own a Winnebago. They own the Winnebago store waiting for a peasant to walk in with their crp check and then ask how long can I finance for. Then they go to the airport and fly down to the beach for 4 or 5 days. Maybe another welfare check will come in and you can cover your golf membership? Remember, Walmart will take you part time. |
