I would go with a steel door and get a good wood door frame. Wadena Door wood jambs have the bottom few inches of their door frames come with Alaskan Cypress wood that doesn't rot. If it is possible, I would then wrap the jamb and brickmould with aluminum coil. The big box store wood jambs are cheap and don't last.
