montana hiline | Grinding hay has been in Mt for years. Most ranchers have tried one way or another. I think it works to save hay but it's the most expensive way to feed. Between cost of grinding and running tractor and a feed wagon with a lot of moving parts in cold weather can been a pain. Compared to rolling a bale out.
If you're going to try grinding do not grind the plastic!!!
Any savings you get will be lost filling your cows with net wrap. | |
