It's sad the consolidation that has happened. The markets, technology, and government i guess is the cause. Where i live i am boxed in by a river, city and government property. I counted all the farmers i knew since I was a kid. There was 30 or 35 in this area I am speaking of and now 6 or 7. Three of these farmers raise cattle and no hogs.
