My dad bought his farm in 1965 in southern Ohio for 200 dollars a acre and gold was 35.50 a ounce so it took roughly 5.6 ounces of gold to buy a acre today it would take roughly 2 ounces to buy the same acre give or take a little
gold and housing. something i found interesting.
