Hooker Twp,Ne
Fed crop ins isn’t going anywhere. First of all if you have multiple year losses your aph goes to crap and thus your guarantee doesn’t pay the bills anymore. If you have multiple year bumper crops and then your aph goes sky high and then you have a crop failure it’s like hitting the lottery. It is what it is. Now the down right cheaters are a different story. But with large losses there is a 3 year audit. How the check gets pass the auditors blows my mind. Now there are to many others beside the farmer that depend on that (crop year loss) crop ins check. So ones says sell the farmer out if crop ins is only thing keeping him alive. Well guess who’s going to get the money when auction time shows. Banker only hopes there’s enough to cover loan. Who gets stuck without pay? Probably the unsecured local businesses. Crop insurance sounds like a better alternative to me.
