One of the few programs that works and it isn't going away. It appears that the ones that keep harping on it are the ones who farm in God's chosen area where weather is not usually an issue. We all were not born in central Illinois. My take and Im probably a bit hysterical is the guys that rarely face weather issues want the western belt to go back to wheat and pasture and then they will be able to get higher prices for the chosen ones who are able to grew corn. I think it's a rather selfish thought. BOTTOM LINEits not going away in Washington and if you dont want it dont take it.

If your weather is that big of an issue, your land should be cheaper. Boomers that bought the land cheap and then rode crop insurance to these highs do not want cheap land, regardless of the effects on the future.
