All but 1 were on grass or out in the fields eating whatever is out there. Grass along fence lines and the lake, stubble fields, corn stalks etc. Water is usually from the lake which is irrigation water but depends on where they are at and there are multiple water sources in all. Vaccinations are just the standard 7 or 8 way and whatever else the vets have recommended over the years. I have tried the tube and mineral oil but have never had success. Usually they bloat so fast they are dead before anything can be done. Usually is frothy bloat not free gas.


If I had 7 die in one day I’d be out there checking every square inch of the pasture. They don’t bloat on grass.
