I know you said you didn't want charcoal, but I have good luck using other people's cast off gas grills that won't work anymore. I just use charcoal with them and use one of those charcoal can things that burns newspaper to start the charcoal. You don't have to buy lighter fluid and the price of the grill will buy a lot of charcoal.
