NW IA | This reminded me of a story told by some one who had visited a dairy in, If I remember correctly, New Zealand.
There were 2 dogs at the far end of the holding pen and he was told that they were the "crowd gate", when a bell rang the dogs moved the cows forward.
He said the whole time he was there the dogs never moved or even appeared to be awake, but the cows moved forward every time the bell rang. The critters had adapted to the arrangement. | |
