 Eastern Iowa | He's easily influenced, especially on subjects he isn't particularly familiar with. The Big 4 knew all they had to do was get someone in a room with him and tell him he was doing a great job but the price of beef was too high. Then step out of the way and let him do what they knew he would do. The fundamentals haven't changed, we can't import a few cattle from Argentina to find our way out of the problem. The Big 4 are reaping what they have sowed and we should not let them wiggle out of it. They need to pay us, until we've made enough over time we can afford to provide them with more. Stupidly, it was probably already happening, but this is the kind of manipulation that will convince people to hit pause on holding back more heifers. | |
