| IMO, any hay that is planned to run through a TMR should be baled with knives. it does cut down on mix times.
I have a Krone VariPak 190xc and am very happy with it. it bales dry hay, balage, and bedding with no issues. balage gets all 17 knives, straw gets 8 knives, and dry hay I run 0 knives as I feed it in a hay ring. hydraulic floor is awesome for slugs. drop the floor and knives from the cab then pto on again and baler takes it in with minimal issues. put knives and floor back up, all from the cab | |
