NEMO | Looking at balers and salesman thinks I would like a baler with the Precutter since we do mix a lot of feed through the winter.
He said we can bale without the cutter engaged (not sure right terminology or how it even works) if we want some long stem hay.
Also a supposed benefit is you can drop the Precutter and back up if you happen to slug the baler in a windrow. Is this true?
So how well do you guys like the Precutter on the John Deere baler? Any other brands a guy should look at?
What size does it cut the hay or what length to you guys like?
Did it eliminate the need to grind the hay and cut mix times down a bunch?
I like the idea of dropping a bale in the mixer and it falling apart. Does it work that well? | |
