Latimer Iowa | Ran it on a 4430 and a 8410. The air didn't work on the 4430 so if it was hot out the 8410 got called into service. Ours was a 1000 rpm, thinking I would run it 900-950. Its been a long time but guessing around 3 mph, certainly nothing like the new balers., seems like a couple 100 bales was a good day. We had a 6 row brady stalk chopper that windrowed for 5 years or so and when that shelled out we went to just running a 10 wheel rake. Both baled up good. Stalk chopper was better for the outside pigs, rake was better for cattle. | |
