I have to ask what the high gear is for then. I understand the idea that you think it could be hard on finals, but don't you think that it is engineered to handle high gear for travel, with safety's built into the machine to prevent overload/failure, to a certain degree? Some machines are three speed.

I run an 04 200CLC. The only thing that you can really make jerk is the bucket, and that is intentionally built into the machine for bucket clean-out. What part jerks on your machine, or are you just talking about becoming a smooth, proficient operator?

That thumb and machine look nice. The thumb can really save the machine when working with trees.
