Probably more sad that his breeders are like the Registered Angus breeders: kept everything and anything and the result is a mess like him, instead of a modern operation where they cull what needs culling regardless of markets and looks which would make a good animal free of most problems aside from old age issues.
It is shocking buying anything Registered Angus, red or black, and wondering why anyone would have them with all their problems compared to a modern Hereford. The Registered Angus have basically every problem and more than the old Herefords did. Feet, eyes, attitude, they get fat instead of growing nicely, poor mothers in comparison, and then they don't even bring anymore than a Hereford anymore. |
