Haha!!! Have you ever tried to 'walk out' in a pond? You are easily talking about 2' of silt and mud in the bottom so walking in 4' of water can get sketchy.
Get a small John boat and paddle out, tie a rope around the neck and under a front leg if possible, hook it to a tractor or similar and start pulling.
