Pittsburg, Kansas | I would agree that there are differences in quality of vitamin supplements. The odd thing is that benefits were shown in one study using a multivitamin that probably would not be considered a premium vitamin source. I can not remember if it was funded by the manufacturer or not. But at any rate a cheap vitamin did show some positive results.
We have one on the shelf that is kind of expensive as far as vitamin pills go. It is the brand name Essential - 1, has a whole bunch of minor minerals as well as the more usual vitamins included. They make several different formulas with different levels of D3/K2. Not recomending them, just saying what we take on occasion. I say occasion because when at home we take some individual vitamins. When home we usually do not take the Essential 1 brand but some other stuff. Specitically some high dose B vitamins to help with my leg nerve damage and essential tremors. My wife says when I go off the B vitamins she notices my tremors come back pretty strong and I also have begun to noticc this. But I digress. We mostly save the Essential One pills for when we travel and are not at home although we will occasionally take them while at home. Do they help? Damed if I know. All I can say for sure is they are not cheap and so far have'nt killed me. I hope they are worth the additional cost. We are now in Arizona for a month and are taking them.
