It most likely isn’t toxic now but there’s always that possibility with Sudan. If you get a frost on it and the cattle are out there then the danger ramps up considerably. I had some Sudan regrowth last year that I grazed during the winter but I waited until freeze killed it dead and then I had it tested for nitrate/prussic acid toxicity before turning cattle in on it.
I was thinking this, but with the OP lack of location, didn't know if it would apply or not. Tough to sometimes give an opinion/answer without that information, IMHO. |
