SE IL | I watched it this morning. He said china had been investing in Brazil for 20 years. He also said the US was not a low cost producer and that we were too expensive. I don’t know if I missed something but from what I’ve read recently we are cheaper than South America but china has orders from the top not to buy us. China will endure way more than we will because their government will kill anyone that speaks against them. Now I do believe that their population is shrinking and they will need less going forward. But the idea that we cost too much is not correct from what I have heard.
Like him or not zeihan says Brazil can’t maintain production without massive capital investment. I guess it will work until it doesn’t. | |
