Going to be turning cattle out on some Italian ryegrass on November 3rd. It’s been getting down into the 20s at night and the grass is starting to turn color a bit. This Italian ryegrass is 6 to 8” of regrowth after haying. Is it safe to turn out on? We’ve grown it for hay before but never grazed it.
