I have it on a New Holland 8970. I am pretty new to balers but I don't know if it has the declutch. Really didn't have this problem doing grass or alfalfa. The gate is pretty quick. Only 2 or 3 seconds. It has a little catch about 1/3 of the way open then it opens all the way. Always done it. I can try to turn them up.
