There’s nobody in the business quite like the Froese family. I met Ray in late 2002 at a dealer event, super nice guy, he was the one person there willing to give the time of day to a clueless 20 year old with essentially no silage experience but full of dumb questions about custom chopping. I went to their shop and saw their trucks and homemade choppers and figured if they could put together something that complicated, surely I could build some trailers and get started in the business. I then went and spent the summer of 2003 putting together 3 silage trailers that we continued to use through 2022. I got to meet Larry and his wife on a JD sponsored trip in about 2009. Same deal, super nice, plus willing and able to answer just about any question you could come up with.
It would have been super cool to go see the old choppers run, but the video will have to do. Thanks for sharing.
