I have also been on a mission that I click on the "don't recommend this channel" on the options as I find them. I didn't know that option was available till this was discussed on the Cafe forum.
Based on some of the comments below the videos I think a lot of people are fooled into thinking the person in the thumbnail actually produced the video.
Once a person is aware, it is possible to keep the bogus channel from popping up on their feed constantly. It is kind of like wack-a-mole but channel by channel they can be blocked.
That is why I have been bringing it up. Awareness.
