For instant radar views of storms or rain headed my way I'll use the weather.gc.ca all year round for free. Bethune radar station is occasionally out of service but mostly pretty good. Best forecasts I've found is Northern Plains Weather on facebook. Covers the North central states as well as South Sask., Manitoba and Ontario. Very accurate and also free.
