Latimer Iowa | Your locally owned and operated store is a better option yet! Even look for chain affiliated stores that are locally owned like Ace Hardware, Lumber yards, etc if you must. It is amazing the time and hassle saved just being able to go into a place you don't get lost in, and get what you need, and "being able to handle before buying".
I have not purchased from Amazon or Wal-Mart in years and have found when the purchasing impulse is negated and thought is actually given, I don't "need" anything from those places. They mainly sell "wants" of cheaply made crap. We all complain about China etc but then keep speaking out of the other side of our wallets.... I am not so altruistic to believe that consumer behaviors will change though and that's when the government feels the need to insert themselves...
Dollars spent in a community continue to cycle in that community where $ spent on Amazon and large nationwide retailers go in billionaires pockets or for supporting whatever d*** measuring whim is currently currying those billionaires interest. | |
