Subject: RE: Multi vitamins

Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS

I grew up eating that way. We grew most of what we ate. All kinds of garden vegetables: peas, beans (butter, pole, green), potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, corn (mostly field, some sweet), etc. Unfortunately, I haven't had ready access to that kind of food for the past 35 or 40 years. All mine now comes from the grocery store. The vitamins I take are an attempt to make up for some of that. The vitamin C I take primarily to avoid colds, etc. I believe (whether true or not) that it helps keep the kidneys flushed out, which also helps keep the "bad stuff" out of the body. The honey/vinegar concoction was recommended by my mother (age 96) who still lives by herself, drives herself to town, cooks for church meals, etc. I figure if it's good for her it must be pretty good for me.
