Rushville, IN | You can get by pretty cheap to get going. There are going to be used drones for sale this winter. Make sure if getting a used one it has an N number and get it transferred. FAA is a big time constraint getting things done. You do not have to have anything fancy to tender. We started with a trailer we already had couple empty cages and a pump we already had. Then a cheaper gas generator. So not much besides drone to get going. You do need all the FAA requirements and insurance. People not doing this is what will get this industry hurt, even just doing your own.
Now after you get going you can make yourself or buy a tender or trailer. I do recommend a diesel generator they’re a lot quieter. We ran XAG P100Pro s this year. Mainly 10 acres and under fields. You can get 250+ in a day even in small fields but that’s 14+ hr days. We only ran bigger fields a few days and then you could push 400 acres once field size moved up to 40 and not moving far. | |
