Whoa whoa whoa whoa yourself, wise one. Post the article before you bless us with too much wisdom about an area you know nothing of.
The Northern Plains wd include ND which is about 300 miles long by 200 wide.
Soil quality and rainfall varies immensely from east to west.
There will be no "no bid" land in that area of the state.
