It is also highly organic, at least my bosses land near Horace. I watched him pour 4 gallons of water from a 5 gallon bucket on the ground on one spot. The water disappeared just like pouring onto cleaned gravel, gone in 20 seconds. Soil aggregates were 'subangular blocky' in shape about 1/4" each. From my Kansas soils experience it was amazing. Previousky, I had never seen high clay (~50%) take water like that.
