Western Oregon | Yep, I agreed to his tests after being hooked up in the ER and they thought they saw a shadow and made the referral, didn't find anything. All he said was he wanted to put me on meds because of my history, What history! Elevated blood pressure when I was 19. The last 30 years it has been 130 over 68 with no meds. I told him I would talk to my primary doctor. He told me he would be over-riding my primary doctor anyway. I told him "I don't think so" and never went back, never heard a thing from primary doctor but have never been back to him either. Heart doctor did set up a follow-up appointment the next year that I never replied to, haven't heard anything since. Never did the Medicare wellness check at 65. Haven't used Medicare yet. Be 70 in March. Like all doctors, still practicing on the patient but figured out billing. I was forced to be on a free Obama-care policy because of our income and pre-existing conditions, after a 2nd polio relapse, at 55. I had been on full benefit health care insurance from work for 16 years with the city....James | |
