SE PA | looking to grow about a half acre of rice here in Lancaster County PA, any rice growers out there that can shed some light on the realities of growing rice?
in my region last week of frost is second week of April, and first week of frost we see is first week of November.
I have experience combining many tough crops like spelt, oats, buckwheat, and other strange crops, now id like to try rice,
I also have a seed cleaner, I plan to get a countertop dehuller if needed, are there hulless rice verieties?
any variety suggestions for white rice? brown rice?
why don't people grow rice in the north?
I have a lot of questions, i like to learn though so fire away!
